Water parks are becoming increasingly popular. It was already popular in our neighbour countries and recently one has opened in the North of the Netherlands. This park consists of different types of attractions. Guests make intensive use of it and as a result the pollution levels increased.
To ensure the water hygiene quality, one uses chlorine. Disadvantage is that chlorine by-products are produced. To counteract the side effects of the bounded chlorine, a UV-C disinfection system can be added. This system eliminates the negative effects of chlorine like irritating eyes, skin and the well-known chlorine smell.
In addition, bacteria are effectively broken down with UV, also the chlorine resistant types. This leads to an improvement of the water quality. As a result of this improvement, less water needs to be replenished.
For the mentioned water park in the North, we have installed UV-C disinfection systems from our Si-series and the water samples showed very nice results.
